Picture Update

by Scott on 11/27/2011

I’ve been behind on Lucas pictures; sorry about that. He changes so quickly that pictures I plan to post become obsolete in a week’s time, and by that time we have several dozen more to choose from and ’round and ’round we go.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. We’re in Peoria at the moment visiting Lindsay’s family. It was our first attempt at a lengthy car ride with Lucas. To my surprise, he pretty much slept the whole way to Eldridge, IA (a little over 5 hours from KC) where we had an awesome meal with some extended family, and then he slept again for the 1.5 hours to Peoria that night. We’ll head back to Kansas City this afternoon.

Accordian and Corn

Here’s Lucas with two of his guilty pleasures. He loves to chomp on his John Deere ear of corn. If he bites hard enough and in the right place, the corn will vibrate, much like a cell phone. It’s kind of like a prize for eating all your vegetables. Every once in a while we’ll hear the inexplicable sound of someone playing the Beer Barrel Polka in another room. If we follow the music, we’ll inevitably see our 3-month-old sheepishly look up from behind his accordion. “Oh Lucas, we don’t do things like that,” says mommy and daddy, “this isn’t Wisconsin.”

Tummy Time

Here’s Lucas with his game face on–determined to conquer his age old enemy: tummy time.

Love it! It looks like he’s getting ready to crawl! I know, he’s too young yet, but his aunt is guessing he’ll be advanced for his age 🙂 Happy late Thanksgiving!

Aaron and I can teach him other Wisconsin favorites. :o)
By the way, did you buy that accordion in LA?

Yes, that is the accordion I bought from a dude on the street in the LA fashion district for like $5 I think. My other purchase that day was a pair of soccer shorts that I now wear for every game, also for $5. I tried to talk the 10 year old girl down to $3 but she would have none of it.
